2008 PROTECTING HUMAN RIGHTS CONFERENCE
The Centre for Comparative Constitutional Studies, in conjunction with the Gilbert + Tobin Centre, UNSW and RegNet, ANU, is hosting a conference on Australian Bills of Rights on 3 October. The conference examines the role of the Victorian Charter and ACT Human Rights Act in an international context. Keynote speakers include Dame Sian Elias, Chief Justice of New Zealand, Lord Stephen Sedley (via dvd) and some of Australia’s leading human rights academics and practitioners.
